You are my hope, the Lord of my life.  I wait on You and move cautiously in my decisions.  I am not ashamed to trust in Your guidance, Lord.  Instead I feel thankful for the trust in You.  I am filled with peace.  Throughout the day my thoughts often turn to You for direction and strength.  In quiet and confidence I find the strength only You can give. Jesus Is The Reason For The Season

Jesus is the reason for the season.  Christmas, is people coming together, remembering the birth of Jesus and how he came to save His people from their sin, giving and sharing, especially to the needy.  Praise God because of Him we have a blessed hope that we can live above sin. Due to the harsh economic strain, people all over the world have realized that shopping will have to be cut this year to facilitate savings.  But it is time for us to realize that Christmas was not meant for this commercialization that takes place everywhere.  Some of these spending are unnecessary and therefore because many of us have been restrained this year, it is obvious that the past years we could have enjoyed Christmas without much of the fanfare. Today, let us focus a little on the wise men.  They traveled for months under difficult circumstances to spend some time worshiping the Christ child.  The journey for us also is difficult at times.  Some of us anxiety is our...

Of course, nearly every hand went up. "I'm going to give this to one of you as soon as I do this..." he said - whereupon he wadded the bill into a tiny ball and rolled it around between his palms. "Anybody still want it now?" he asked. The same hands went up.
