Jesus Is The Reason For The Season
Jesus is the reason for the season. Christmas, is people coming together, remembering the birth of Jesus and how he came to save His people from their sin, giving and sharing, especially to the needy. Praise God because of Him we have a blessed hope that we can live above sin.
Due to the harsh economic strain, people all over the world have realized that shopping will have to be cut this year to facilitate savings. But it is time for us to realize that Christmas was not meant for this commercialization that takes place everywhere. Some of these spending are unnecessary and therefore because many of us have been restrained this year, it is obvious that the past years we could have enjoyed Christmas without much of the fanfare.
Today, let us focus a little on the wise men. They traveled for months under difficult circumstances to spend some time worshiping the Christ child. The journey for us also is difficult at times. Some of us anxiety is our companion day after day, but we can find relief. That is the reason for the season. There is a King and through this difficult journey we need to bow and worship Him as the wise men did when they found Him.
He was born in a unique, miraculous and marvelous way for us. He is Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.
