Gossip
Do not spread lies about anyone, and when someone is on trial for his life, speak out if your testimony can help him. Gossip is so tasty - how we love to swallow it. A gossip can never keep a secret. Stay away from people who talk too much. No one who gossip can be trusted with a secret, but you can put confidence in someone who is trustworthy. Gossip is spread by wicked people; they stir up trouble and break up friendships. You make plans to ruin others; your tongue is like a sharp razor. Gossip brings anger just as surely as the north wind brings rain. Without wood, a fire goes out; without gossip, quarreling stops. Proverbs 13:3 tells us that, he that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life; but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
