How Will Evil End?

There is so much evil in the world today, so much wickedness, violence, corruption, drunkenness and debauchery.  There is so much crime of every description, that some people think it will never end.  Evil has taken strong hold on the human race ever to be eradicated.

Yet one of the most glorious truths your Bible reveals is that someday in God's good time, when He is ready, all evil will come to an end.  Someday there shall be no more curse and no more utter destruction because the former things shall not be remembered.  All the mean, ugly, hateful things shall not be remembered nor come to mind.

This was one of the main reasons that Jesus came to this world as stated in 1 John 3:8,  "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." But He is not going to destroy just the works of the devil, but the devil himself.  Praise God!!

I Look To You, Dear Lord

You are my hope, the Lord of my life.  I wait on You and move cautiously in my decisions.  I am not ashamed to trust in Your guidance, Lord.  Instead I feel thankful for the trust in You.  I am filled with peace.  Throughout the day my thoughts often turn to You for direction and strength.  In quiet and confidence I find the strength only You can give. You, dear Father, are my Rock and my defender; I shall not fear.  I know I believe, and I am persuaded that You keep me close to You day by day. Laying Crowns At Jesus' Feet

Revelation 3:11, "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown."It is possible to earn a crown and then to lose it again.  Wouldn't that be a terrible tragedy? May God grant that it will not happen to us.  John 19:5 tells us of a mock coronation when they crowned the Lord Jesus with a cruel crown of thorns.  What a demonstration of the depravity of fallen man.  In Revelation 4:10-11, the elders take their crowns and give them to Jesus saying, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power."  I want to have crowns to lay at His feet at that time.  O the utter shame of a Christian who does  not have at least one crown to lay at His feet.  He wins the crown for us as we yield to Him.  The crown is rightly His, for He has won.  I desire to be able to lay many crowns at His blessed feet.
