Money

  • Labour not to be rich; cease from thine own wisdom.  Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
  • A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
  • Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He hath promised to them that love Him?
  • Better is an handful with quitness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.
  • For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saiith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
  • Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker; and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.
  • Rob not the poor, because he is poor; neither oppress the afflicted in the gate.....
  • The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much; but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

Nailing My Sins To His cross

That day when they crucified my Saviour, He was willing to pay all the cost.  When they drove the nails through His body, they were nailing my sins to His cross. Oh the shame of it, my sins crucified Him that day, my sins were to blame.  Forgive me Lord I pray, I will live so the world can know that I love You for nailing my sins to the cross. Although this was centuries ago now, and I was not even living at all, The Bible says Jesus died for all sinners.  This includes me, Oh praise His dear name.  Thank you Jesus!

I Look To You, Dear Lord

You are my hope, the Lord of my life.  I wait on You and move cautiously in my decisions.  I am not ashamed to trust in Your guidance, Lord.  Instead I feel thankful for the trust in You.  I am filled with peace.  Throughout the day my thoughts often turn to You for direction and strength.  In quiet and confidence I find the strength only You can give. You, dear Father, are my Rock and my defender; I shall not fear.  I know I believe, and I am persuaded that You keep me close to You day by day. Laying Crowns At Jesus' Feet

Revelation 3:11, "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown."It is possible to earn a crown and then to lose it again.  Wouldn't that be a terrible tragedy? May God grant that it will not happen to us.  John 19:5 tells us of a mock coronation when they crowned the Lord Jesus with a cruel crown of thorns.  What a demonstration of the depravity of fallen man.  In Revelation 4:10-11, the elders take their crowns and give them to Jesus saying, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power."  I want to have crowns to lay at His feet at that time.  O the utter shame of a Christian who does  not have at least one crown to lay at His feet.  He wins the crown for us as we yield to Him.  The crown is rightly His, for He has won.  I desire to be able to lay many crowns at His blessed feet.
