A Prayer For Haiti


Almighty God, across Haiti, cold circumstances have left us  so numb. And now we come to you, Be unto them a strong wall, shelter the sufferings in this time of grief. We reach out to you, stretch out your strong arms, lift them up and say, 'enough'. Open up the roads of blessings to this country, give them faith, hope and love. We wait for you, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

I Look To You, Dear Lord

You are my hope, the Lord of my life.  I wait on You and move cautiously in my decisions.  I am not ashamed to trust in Your guidance, Lord.  Instead I feel thankful for the trust in You.  I am filled with peace.  Throughout the day my thoughts often turn to You for direction and strength.  In quiet and confidence I find the strength only You can give. You, dear Father, are my Rock and my defender; I shall not fear.  I know I believe, and I am persuaded that You keep me close to You day by day. Jesus Is The Reason For The Season

Jesus is the reason for the season.  Christmas, is people coming together, remembering the birth of Jesus and how he came to save His people from their sin, giving and sharing, especially to the needy.  Praise God because of Him we have a blessed hope that we can live above sin. Due to the harsh economic strain, people all over the world have realized that shopping will have to be cut this year to facilitate savings.  But it is time for us to realize that Christmas was not meant for this commercialization that takes place everywhere.  Some of these spending are unnecessary and therefore because many of us have been restrained this year, it is obvious that the past years we could have enjoyed Christmas without much of the fanfare.
